Drafting Wills, Trusts and Powers of Attorney

I am able to draft individuals wills, trusts and other documents that accurately convey your wishes, including:

  • Wills: A will designates your beneficiaries and appoints someone as executor of your estate.
  • Trusts: A trust can be to your benefit while you remain living and of value to your loved ones after your death. Trusts are legal arrangements that allow individuals to transfer control of their assets in order to provide for the beneficiaries. We assist clients in drafting a wide range of trusts, including revocable trusts, irrevocable trusts, special needs trusts, pooled trusts and testamentary trusts.
  • Powers of attorney (healthcare): We can draft an advance healthcare directive on your behalf that designates a loved one to make decisions pertaining to your medical care in the event you are unable to do so yourself. These documents allow you to protect a certain standard of living.
  • Powers of attorney (property and finances): In the event you become disabled, this document can allow you to transfer your financial decision making powers over to a trusted individual.

In some cases, we can draft documents that allow individuals to remain eligible to receive government Medicaid benefits.
